Parents, please be aware of the following important information regarding FCAT testing:
Dear Parent/Guardian,
As we approach the beginning of the 2012 FCAT/FCAT 2.0 testing season, we want to make you aware of a few important testing policies:
1.
Please remind your child that electronic devices are NOT permitted in a testing room. Simply turning off the device is not enough. If a student is found to have an electronic device on them during testing, per State rules, their test will be invalidated. Students should leave their electronic device in a locker or other secure location outside of the testing room.
2. If your child begins a test session and leaves campus without finishing (due to an appointment, illness, etc.), he or she will NOT be allowed to complete that test session.
3. This year, students will be asked to sign a pledge for each FCAT/FCAT 2.0 test they take. This pledge is designed to remind students of proper testing behavior. We highly encourage students to read and sign this pledge. However, if your child refuses to sign the pledge, they will still be able to test.
